Model 6425 and 6426 Series Refillable Hydrocarbon Traps

Description
These traps utilize molecular sieve and/or coconut shell based activated carbon media to remove hydrocarbons from non-corrosive gases. Three versions are available: Refillable Standard Hydrocarbon Removing Traps (Model 6425), Capillary Grade Hydrocarbon Removing Traps (Model 6425C), and Refillable Hydro-Moisture Traps (Model 6426).

Applications
  • Removal of organics from carrier gases, air, and hydrogen
  • Removes the following compounds:
    • Alcohols
    • Aromatics
    • Chlorinated hydrocarbons
    • Esters
    • Ethers
    • Hydrocarbons
    • Ketones

Design Features
  • All-metal construction
    • Optimizes the results of GC analysis by eliminating ghost peaks
    • 1/8" or ¼" stainless steel Swagelok® compression fittings

Specifications
Model 6425 Refillable Traps: 200 cc of impregnated carbon purifier media
Model 6425C Capillary Grade Hydrocarbon Traps: 100 cc of high surface area, coconut shell based activated carbon
Model 6426 Hydro-Moisture Traps: 50/50 mix of 13X molecular sieve and coconut shell based activated carbon

*Use of mounting clip to eliminate stress on connecting lines is recom mended due to the heavy walled construction of the unit.
**When refilling, exposure to atmosphere should be limited for maximum efficiency of filtering media.
