Matheson SF Series Flowmeters are high accuracy flowmeters that use a 100 division reference scale and come standard with a calibration table for air and water at standard conditions, for both the glass and stainless steel floats. A correlation table for your specific gas or specific conditions is available upon request.

Or, to generate accurate correlated calibration flow tables on demand, a Flow Rate Analysis Software Package is available. This DOS based program makes it easy to change fluids or conditions. Simply plug in the new fluid and/or operating parameters (temperature, pressure) and the program does the rest.

Matheson's Shielded Flowmeters provide an added measure of safety for use when there is danger of surging pressure or where exposed glass cannot be tolerated. The clear polycarbonate shield that surrounds the flowmeter tube adds strength and protection. This shield also possesses excellent optical properties and is highly chemical resistant.

Matheson Shielded Flowmeters are available in 8 different sizes to offer a full range of flow rates, from 0.05ml/min to 670 LPM air and 0.0005ml/min to 21 LPM water. Size 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 flowmeters each come with both a spherical black glass float and a heavier stainless steel float to provide an extended flow range. The Micro size flowmeter comes with a special ruby float to attain extremely low flow rates. All except the size 6 high flow tube are available with a 20 turn micrometer capillary valve which provides precise, reproducible control of fluid flow. The scales on these flowmeters are 6" in length except for the micro size which is 4".

The accuracy of these flowmeters is +/-2% of reading or 1 scale division, except for the micro size. The accuracy of the micro size is +/-5% of reading or 2 scale divisions for air, and +/-10% of reading or 2 scale divisions for water.

Matheson Shielded Flowmeters are made of corrosion resistant materials: Borosilicate glass flow tube, stainless steel and glass floats, Teflon® body, Viton® fluoroelastomer O-rings, and polypropylene end bushings with Teflon® inserts. Fluid does not touch the shield. An adapter kit which creates an "all Teflon®'' flow path (except for the flow tube itself) is available for high purity applications. As one is needed for each end, be sure to order two Teflon® Adapter Kits per flowmeter. Note that the size 6 flowmeter is already fitted with an all Teflon® flow path.
