Matheson's
Model MAT4-20IQ Standalone Sensor Module is a completely
self-contained, microprocessor-based gas detection assembly
which can be calibrated without opening the housing cover in a
classified area. This is especially important in hazardous or
explosive locations where exposure of the electronics to the
ambient environment is not acceptable. All interfacing with the
MAT4-20IQ is done via magnetic sensors located on the front
panel, which are activated using a magnetic tipped wand. |
| Unlike
Matheson's line of Fixed Gas Detection Systems, no control
module is necessary with the MAT4-20IQ. All of the sensor's
electronics are located inside the explosion proof housing. The
MAT4-20IQ provides a standard linear 100-500µA, or an optional
4-20mA output (isolated or non-isolated), which can be used to
transmit the sensor's information to a readout or relay device,
or to a central facility control system. |
| A digital
readout is provided in the module to display the concentration
locally. Note that there are no provisions in the MAT4-20IQ for
Warn/Alarm setpoints. These, as well as any corresponding relays
need to be provided by the central facility control system. |
